Accounting Executive

OBJECTIVES

Maestro Equity Partners is looking to expand its team with an Accounting Executive to support current and future investments. This role is a key component of the back office team.

As an Accounting Executive, you will be responsible for managing accounting entries, documentation, and both external financial statements and internal reports. You will ensure compliance with applicable regulations and oversee the accurate recording of internal transactions, as well as transactions with clients and affiliates. You will also support office administration and management. 

In addition, you may also have the opportunity to participate in deal team activities upon request.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Accounting & reporting (40%)

  • Perform monthly bookkeeping and prepare internal reports;
  • Prepare monthly payroll and calculate statutory insurance contributions;
  • Prepare annual financial statements;
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the year-end financial audit process;
  • Maintain and manage HR records.

Transaction-enabling execution (20%)

  • Support the preparation and review of commercial documents (contracts, debit notes, handover minutes, invoices, etc);
  • Process and submit payment orders through the banking system;
  • Coordinate with relevant agencies (e.g., insurance providers) on matters related to employee benefits.

Compliance work (20%)

  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT and PIT declarations, and process the related payments;
  • Prepare and submit year-end financial statements and CIT returns;
  • Prepare and submit other required financial and HR compliance reports to relevant authorities.

Administrative work (20%)

  • Coordinate office operations, including procurement of supplies and services, and management of incoming and outgoing mail;
  • Uphold the company’s culture and working environment while organizing and supporting team-building activities;
  • Communicating with clients, vendors, banks, and other stakeholders as needed;
  • Prepare internal documents in accordance with the Company’s policies;
  • Performing other general administrative tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Accounting Executive role;
  • Experience in financial auditing is an advantage;
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting;
  • Experience in preparing both internal and external reports;
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
